Big Eyes

This is a response post to Tina asking: 'is there any products you recommend in making eyes bigger'

And the answer is no, unless you resort to surgery. I dont necessarily think there's a product out there that will magically make your eyes bigger SO I will share with you some of my makeup techniques and the things I do to make my eyes look bigger, brighter and defined.

I am so fortunate to say that I was born with naturally big eyes/double eyelids, so for me, I dont want to make them any more bigger, maybe just some definition and emphasis.

So a lot of people, when drawing the cat-eye, like to flick it up where the lining of the bottom lash line may invisibly continue. To me that looks rather unnatural and stubs the length of your eye shape. What I like to do is, lengthen that shape by horizontally lining the top lash line as if it were to continue to really lengthen the length of your eyes

Next, tight line the top lash line. This is soo important and many people neglect this area. By doing so this makes your lashes look fuller and really defines your eye line.

Next take a volumizing mascara and really work it through your lashes. Use a zig-zag motion and then lift. Dont forget to coat your bottom lashes as well. After volumizing, take a lengthening mascara and lightly coat your lashes again focusing more on the outer corners.

This is an important step, dont leave your top line flick hanging on its own, take a brown shadow                                                                                                                         and join your bottom lash line with the top eyeliner.
And now, this is the ultimate trick in creating that illusion of bigger eyes. Take a brown marker  eyeliner (mine is an eyebrow marker) or some brown shadow on a flat brush, and outline your double eyelid or the line that creases focusing only on the outer crease. This really accentuates your double eyelid and  gives the illusion of depuffed and bigger eyes.

You see how much of a difference it makes!
Fill in your brows
contour your nose and cheeks
highlight the brow bone, middle of your lids, inner tear-duct, nose bridge, cupids bow, and top of the cheek
apply blush
